This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading transport businesses as they work to keep the country connected. An exciting time for industry the company are investing in new electric vehicles and steadily integrating them into the existing fleet.

Joining them as a vehicle technician you will carry out vehicle repairs as well as proactive maintenance of the vehicle fleet helping to ensure vehicles are available to a high standard and in line with business operational needs.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Fleet maintenance and repair
  • Correctly diagnosing and repairing system faults
  • Ensuring you work within site Health & safety requirements as well as DVSA standards and relevant legislation

To carry out these hands-on roles they are seeking qualified vehicle technicians with prior experience working on commercial vehicles, public service vehicles, HGV’s, military vehicles or similar.

A full British driving license is essential.

Roles are full time working a 40-hour week and various shift patterns are available across the different sites including day shifts or a rotating shift patterns covering days and lates.

With multiple roles available positions are open to multi-disciplined engineers trained in mechanical, electrical and bodywork vehicle repair as well as those trained in one discipline who would like the chance to upskill. For those who need it support can be provided to see you through further City & Guilds and NVQ level 3 qualifications as you broaden your experience.
