This role comes to market from a global leader in the design and manufacture of electromechanical products for highly regulated industries. Growing through both acquisition and their own continued investment in new technology they are offering an experienced project / programme manager the chance to lead and oversee a broad range of projects, programs and portfolios as you support R&D with New Product Development and Introduction to manufacture. You will also look after programs related to operational improvement and business sustainability.

Your key responsibilities will include leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver multi-million pound projects in line with Safety, Quality, delivery, Cost and Environmental targets. This will include implementing and working in line with all regulatory and quality requirements. You will also identify project goals, define project plans, coordinate internal and external stakeholders and contribute to the continuous improvement of project management standards and processes.

This is a key role for the organisation and applications are open to experienced project managers with the following skills/experience:

  • A professional project manager ideally holding a project management certification I.e. Prince 2, PMI or PMP
  • Experience working in a regulated engineering environment such as medical devices, Oil & Gas, Automotive or Aerospace
  • A strong track record leading multiple projects related to R&D, New Product Development ( NPD ) and New product Introduction ( NPI ).  
  • Expertise in electronics, PCB assembly and manufacture of complete PCBA
  • Experience leading teams of 10 + core team members
  • A business minded professional with strong operational and commercial skills able to demonstrate a track record managing multi-million-pound budgets. (A management degree or MBA would be beneficial but is not essential. )
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills
  • A proven track record implementing project management controls and mitigating risk for successful project delivery in line with targets for quality, cost and time.
