Homologation / Compliance Engineer - Warwickshire

£40-50,000 DOE

This position comes from an established OEM that designs and manufactures specialist vehicles for the global market.  A leader in their sector with a large design and manufacturing presence here in the UK they have a number of opportunities open to join them due to their continued growth and ongoing investment in new vehicle development.

Joining as an experienced Compliance Engineer you will strengthen their small and busy homologation team as they support the continued development of new vehicles for global markets. Current projects will see you supporting the successful development and market launch of electric and hybrid vehicles as well as continued geographical expansion with a focus on the American and Canadian markets.

Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Identify and interpret current and upcoming legislation and legislative changes that will impact company products. This will include a focus on North American legislative requirements.
  • Communicate legislative changes within the business, advising of potential impact and supporting design changes to ensure continued compliance
  • Generate homologation documentation, create and maintain technical construction files and work with homologation bodies to oversee whole vehicle type approvals
  • Support the R&D team with design changes, sitting in on design reviews to advise on any impact proposed changes may have to homologation and legislative compliance.

To carry out this role they are seeking an experienced Homologation engineer with a demonstratable track record in either homologation, whole vehicle type approvals or with the CE & Machinery directive. You will need to have worked in the automotive sector previously with a good understanding of international vehicle regulations and legislation. Further to this you will need to be a qualified engineer – HNC/HND or degree level.
